The final project for my semester of Principles and Design was to make a collage from a selfie or a picture that you have of yourself and replicate it on a sheet of paper using magazine clippings. This project took a little bit of everything from the semester and let us show our abilities to create a face, hands, and use value to make the picture appear human. After we selected a photo we had to enlarge it and put it on a piece of paper. Once I have a rough sketch I searched through magazines to find my background colors and from there moved onto the skin, clothing, and hair. It was a lot of fun to do because I haven’t done a collage in a while and though it was stressful I am happy with the results that I created.
